| Whether a visitor from afar or a Rochester newcomer seeking a spiritual home, we welcome you to St. Mark's & St. John's. As you come to know us, you will find us a diverse group of folks - urban and suburban, youth and senior citizens, families and singles - all with a common commitment to Christian worship and service. |
Holy CommunionAll baptized Christians, including children, are invited to receive Holy Communion. When coming forward, please feel free either to stand or kneel at the railing. Place one hand over the other and receive the wafer in your open palm, then lift it to your mouth. Take the chalice by the base and guide it to your lips. If you prefer, you may dip the wafer into the chalice (communion by intinction). Persons who are not receiving communion are invited to come forward and receive a blessing. Simply cross your arms on your chest to indicate you will not be receiving Communion. |
